This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting our customers and ensuring their equipment performs at its best. You’ll be based in the Midwestern United States and work with customers with operations across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana and Michigan. Responsibilities Install, commission, repair, and maintain Modern Packaging automated machinery at customer sites, including both electrical and mechanical work Troubleshoot and adjust equipment to achieve contracted efficiency rates, perform audits, install upgrades, and deliver follow-up operator training Document all service activities (installations, commissioning, repairs, and upgrades) in detailed site reports Support customers by recommending machine upgrades, retrofits, and spare parts that improve safety, performance, reliability, and inventory management Train customer personnel during installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities While not traveling, support the Modern facility in Deer Park, NY by assembling and testing new machines and participating in customer Factory Acceptance Tests Maintain flexibility to adapt to diverse work environments and resolve issues quickly What’s in it for you? These components, along with local and national compensation survey data, contribute to deciding a candidate's potential starting rate of pay. Compensation Base Salary Range: $28.00 – 37.00 an hour Qualifications Previous experience as a Field Service Technician (or similar) with 3+ years of machine startup, repair, and maintenance on medium to large-scale industrial equipment High School Diploma required; Associate‘s Degree in a related technical field (mechanical or electrical) preferred Strong technical skills, including mechanical repair, ability to read part/assembly drawings and wiring schematics, and familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, and servo controllers (preferred) Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong organizational, time management, and problem‑solving skills to manage schedules, paperwork, and technical issues effectively Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly, train customer personnel, and work well with all levels of operators and management Self‑motivated and adaptable, able to work independently while maintaining a positive, professional attitude Willingness to travel up to 75% domestically and internationally (passport required; occasional trips to Mexico and Canada) ProMach Corporate Information Pro Mach, Inc. was named to the Inc. 5,000 list of the fastest growing private companies in the United States seven times.
