Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation

Job Overview A law firm seeks an attorney with 2 to 7 years of experience in civil litigation to join their Casualty section in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of state and federal civil procedure, excellent advocacy and writing skills, and strong communication abilities. Duties Defend a variety of casualty cases, including wrongful death, products liability, and premises liability. Handle day-to-day case management with partner oversight. Conduct client meetings, reporting, and investigations. Engage in discovery and motion practice. Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Requirements 2 to 7 years of civil litigation experience. Experience with personal injury litigation preferred. Valid Texas BAR license required. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Texas. Skills Strong advocacy and writing skills. Excellent communication skills. Organized, proactive, and independent.
