Program Assistant

Program Assistant Hourly, $18.50 per hour; maximum 28 hours per week. Position Type: Hourly | Department: Information Technology | Location: Triton College Office for the Associate Vice President of Information Systems. The Program Assistant supports the day‑to‑day operations of the Office for the Associate Vice President of Information Systems. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Official transcripts required prior to employment (if applicable). Recommended hire will be subject to pre‑employment screenings. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and database management applications. Responsibilities Enter and submit requisitions for the Information Systems, Network Services, Audio Visual, Desktop Computing, and Performing Arts Center Departments. Prepare action exhibits for submittal to the VP of Business Services for the Board of Trustees monthly meetings. Develop budget forecasts and monitor expenditures to ensure spending stays within approved limits. Work with vendors to obtain quotes and resolve billing concerns. Manage the department’s yearly maintenance and lease agreements. Oversee maintenance of office equipment and order office supplies. Perform duties using database management applications and other computer systems. Process faculty evaluations through an evaluation application. Maintain calendar and schedule appointments/meetings for the department and Associate Vice President. Set up interviews and Zoom calls for job openings. Assist in preparing work area for new staff. Coordinate special projects as directed by the Associate Vice President. Provide administrative support for the Associate Vice President. Primarily works in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
