Surgical Technician

Role Overview The Surgical Technician collaborates with perioperative registered nurses to organize and deliver individualized, age-specific patient care in the operating room. They ensure a safe environment, monitor patients' physiologic responses during surgery, and anticipate the surgeon’s instrumentation and equipment needs to promote smooth procedures. Key Responsibilities Maintain a safe surgical environment and facilitate positive patient outcomes. Assist in organizing equipment and supplies, anticipating needs during procedures. Follow risk reduction procedures, including safety practices related to lasers and electro-surgery. Collaborate effectively within the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care. Qualifications & Skills Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or hold a certified surgical technologist credential. Current BLS certification (American Heart Association). Successful completion of departmental orientations and programs.
