As a part of a small company with high impact, you will work closely with biotech companies, pharmaceutical organizations, laboratories, research facilities, universities, and other highly technical environments to help create safer and more effective scientific workspaces. At the intersection of science, engineering, laboratory equipment, construction, and project execution, the organization has a strong market position and is a top-five global scientific equipment dealer. The next stage of growth requires a skilled and personable Project Manager who will be closely involved in customer conversations, project planning, equipment logistics, contractor coordination, field conditions, installations, budgeting and scheduling, and executing complex projects, all to meaningfully advance science. You will work directly alongside the CEO, sales team, technical experts, manufacturers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure that what was designed and sold is ultimately delivered and installed successfully. This position will give you the opportunity to: Own laboratory equipment and installation projects throughout the full project lifecycle. Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables. Work directly with customers to understand project expectations, timelines, site conditions, and implementation requirements. Serve as a primary customer contact throughout project planning, delivery, installation, and completion. Coordinate installers, subcontractors, manufacturers, architects, contractors, customers, and other stakeholders involved in project execution. Spend time onsite verifying field conditions, coordinating work, directing subcontractors, and ensuring projects remain on schedule and to specification. Manage equipment logistics, manufacturing timelines, delivery coordination, and installation readiness. Review specifications, drawings, site conditions, and project requirements to identify potential issues before they impact the customer or schedule. Estimate and track costs throughout each stage of a project and maintain alignment with overall project budgets. Proactively identify risks, constraints, and project challenges and develop solutions. Manage multiple active projects simultaneously while maintaining clear priorities and consistent communication. Keep customers informed through regular updates regarding schedules, progress, changes, and potential risks. Maintain accurate project activity, documentation, milestones, and status information within internal systems. Utilize CRM tools and QuickBooks Online to support project planning, tracking, budgeting, and administration. Prepare project status updates and communicate important developments to leadership. Develop technical expertise around laboratory equipment, installations, facility requirements, safety considerations, and customer applications. Support the sales team with technical and project-execution insight when evaluating new opportunities. Help improve internal project-management processes, quality controls, documentation, and operational systems as the company continues to grow. Build customer relationships that drive repeat projects, referrals, and long-term partnerships. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2+ years of project management, construction management, engineering project coordination, equipment installation, or related project execution experience. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field/work in lieu of. PMP or similar project management certification is helpful but not required. Experience successfully managing projects involving multiple stakeholders, timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Ability to travel onsite to oversee installation projects through completion. Comfortable coordinating contractors, installers, subcontractors, vendors, customers, and other project stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and follow-up items. Ability to proactively identify project risks and resolve problems that may impact schedules or customers. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Confidence communicating directly with customers and setting clear expectations regarding timelines, responsibilities, and project requirements. Comfortable operating in a small, entrepreneurial environment where processes and systems will continue to evolve. Ability and desire to learn technical equipment, specifications, applications, and installation requirements. Experience within laboratory, scientific equipment, biotech, pharmaceutical, construction, mechanical systems, manufacturing, engineering, facilities, or other technical environments is highly valued. Experience interpreting specifications, construction documents, drawings, codes, or equipment requirements would be particularly valuable. Valid driver's license.
