Customer Service - Self Storage Manager

Property Manager Public Storage is the self‑storage industry leader and we are hiring now. Earn $19.50 per hour. Benefits Flexible and full‑time schedules between 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. (weekends until 5 p.m.) Full‑time benefits after 20+ hours, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid time off, sick time, and flex spending Company‑paid life and accidental‑death insurance, vendor discounts Mileage reimbursement for traveling between properties or other work‑related tasks Performance‑based bonuses for property managers Responsibilities Work independently at multiple locations, both inside and outside Assess customer storage needs, make suggestions, and sell packing and moving supplies Conduct daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits Help keep customers current with payments, make reminder and collection calls Open and close facilities, assist reservation and walk‑in customers, resolve issues, and complete lease agreements Accept, enter, and document all customer payments, ensuring cash handling and deposits are in accordance with policy Make scheduled delinquent calls, execute lien sales, and administer transactions with auction vendors Physical Requirements Transport or lift items weighing up to 35 lbs Walk around facilities, with up to 50% time outdoors, climbing stairs, opening large doors Perform cleaning and daily maintenance: sweeping, mopping interior areas, maintaining exterior grounds and curb appeal Qualifications Experience in customer‑service‑centered sales environments such as retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service‑based companies Valid driver’s license and own vehicle for travel between locations; mileage reimbursement available About Us Public Storage was recognized as a Great Place to Work by the Great Place to Work Institute.
