Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our team at [Dealership Name]. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards. This role requires strong technical abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality service.

• Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on all makes and models, or as assigned by brand specialization

• Accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and software

• Complete repair orders efficiently and according to manufacturer specifications and flat-rate guidelines

• Communicate clearly with service advisors and fellow technicians regarding repair needs, timelines, and parts availability

• Stay current with factory training and certifications

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety and environmental regulations

• Road-test vehicles to ensure repairs are completed accurately and safely

• Document all work performed and any recommendations for future maintenance or repairs

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training preferred

• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications strongly preferred or willingness to obtain

• 1-3+ years of experience as an automotive technician in a dealership or independent shop

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with OEM diagnostic tools, repair software, and scan tools

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork

• Fast-paced shop environment with exposure to automotive equipment, tools, and moving vehicles

• May require evening or weekend shifts depending on dealership hours

• Must adhere to dealership dress code and safety protocols
