Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a Level 1 Trauma Center in a critical care setting, requiring 2 years of full lifespan respiratory experience.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma Center, Level II NICU, Primary Stroke Center, and Magnet-designated teaching hospital with 273 beds
• Respiratory Therapy Services: Pulmonary unit
• Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatric respiratory patients
• 1:1 patient ratios
• 12-hour day shifts with hours varying between 6a-6p and 10a-10p
• 36 standard hours per week
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Potential floating to other hospitals within the Patient Service Area based on contract
• Uses Epic charting system
• Ventilators include PB840, PB980, Servo-U, and Hamilton
• CPAP/BiPAP equipment includes V60s, ResMed, and RemStar
• Utilizes Optiflow and Hamilton transport vents

Requirements

• Active RT license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience across full lifespan patient populations (peds, adults, and geriatrics)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (AHA)
• RRT or CRT certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with trachs, nitrous oxide procedures, and proning techniques required
• ECMO and critical care experience required
• Experience with ventilator-associated pneumonia prevention required
• Experience with spontaneous breathing trials and ABG draws required
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Candidate's middle name/initial, DOB, and last 4 of SSN required for consideration

• First-time travelers considered upon review
• Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
