Phlebotomist Float

Labcorp – Phlebotomist Float – Lake Street, New Britain, CT Work Schedule: Monday – Friday with varying hours between 6:00am‑6:00pm and rotating Saturdays. Travel to additional sites may be required. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and similar procedures. Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information. Process billing information and collect payments when necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Complete administrative and clerical duties as needed. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience preferred; a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency can substitute experience. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation. Minimum age 21 years. Benefits Float incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement. Employees scheduled 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), PTO or FTO, Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled less than 20 hours, casual, intern, or temporary employees are eligible to participate only in the 401(k) plan.
