Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00–07:30 | Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias
• Float to other units as needed based on operational requirements
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as determined by staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum of two years of inpatient acute care experience within the last three years in Medical Surgical/Telemetry
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Telemetry competency exam prior to start (adult and pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher with 100% identification of lethal rhythms required)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring in an inpatient setting
• Familiarity with high-acuity Medical Surgical patient populations
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to floating assignments across units
