Patient ratios are typically 1:5 to 6. Candidates with 2 years of experience are preferred, but first-timers are accepted. There is a requirement for six weekend shifts within a six-week period. The position does not require on-call duties. Clinicians will float within their scope to meet facility needs. The role requires familiarity with telemetry and the management of cardiac medications and drips without titration. Charting is done using a specified electronic medical record system. The working environment supports interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Patient diagnoses typically involve cardiac concerns, including TAVR and post-operative cardiac care. Candidates should have knowledge of monitoring and managing various cardiac conditions. Skills in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing cardiac drips are essential. Travelers must comply with requirements and have a maximum of seven days of requested time off.
