PACU Registered Nurse (RN) - InpatientWe are seeking a skilled PACU Registered Nurse (RN) with inpatient experience to join our team. This position requires expertise in handling both pre and post-procedure care, particularly for catheterization lab and interventional radiology patients.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality nursing care to PACU patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during recovery.Monitor patient progress and vital signs, implementing necessary interventions as required.Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and adjust individualized care plans.Float to the holding area within the PACU department as needed, managing patients with a ratio of 1:3 to 1:5, who are comparable to inpatient PCU assignments.QualificationsMust have at least 2 years of nursing experience, including Level 1 trauma and telemetry experience.Current certifications required: BCLS, ACLS, and PALS.Available to work 2 out of 3 major holiday bundles (Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, NYE & NYD).Ability to provide weekend coverage at least once per month.Must be willing to participate in on-call shifts, with 1-2 overnight calls required monthly.Pending licenses are accepted.Work EnvironmentThis position is located in a Level I trauma, teaching, children's hospital with a total of 554 staffed beds, providing a fast-paced and dynamic work atmosphere. The facility utilizes Cerner for charting practices.Additional InformationGuaranteed hours: 36 hours/week, with the understanding that the facility may call off staff up to 3 times within a 13-week assignment.RTO restrictions apply, with any time-off exceeding 7 days requiring prior approval.Scrub color: black.No parking fees for staff.Join our dedicated team and contribute to exceptional patient care in a supportive environment.
