Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to accurately diagnose various mental health disorders, using standardized assessment tools and procedures.
• Develop and formulate individualized treatment plans that reflect the specific needs, preferences, and goals of each patient, based on evidence-based practices.
• Prescribe psychotropic medications, titrating dosages as necessary while closely monitoring patient responses for efficacy and side effects.
• Provide psychotherapy services utilizing various modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment outcomes, and any modifications to care plans.
• Engage in regular follow-up appointments to assess treatment effectiveness, addressing any concerns and enhancing patient care continuity.
• Partner with other healthcare professionals for case management discussions, ensuring an integrated approach to patient treatment strategies.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings and clinical supervision sessions to foster continuous professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a diverse client base that includes individuals facing a range of challenges such as anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other mood-related issues. Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing with a specialization in psychiatric mental health nursing.
• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas.
• Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) is preferred.
• Strong community and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with a diverse clientele.
• Ability to work flexibly within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a mental health setting, particularly in providing care to diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits
