Step into a rewarding role supporting students across multiple grade levels in a vibrant educational environment near Warwick, RI! We have immediate contract opportunities for skilled Paraprofessionals for the upcoming school year, starting August 31, 2026, and running through June 10, 2027. Openings are available at high school, middle school, elementary, and kindergarten levels, with tailored schedules for each setting. These positions offer a consistent 32-hour work week, Monday through Friday.
Ideal candidates will bring a passion for helping students succeed and thrive, with flexibility to work collaboratively across diverse teams. Locations and schedules vary by assignment, with morning start times and mid-afternoon finishes for work-life balance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid RI Teacher Assistant (TA) Certification OR Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with prior experience in school settings
- Previous work with school-age children or in educational support roles is highly valued
- Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to dynamic classroom environments and meet student needs
- Reliable and punctual with a professional approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and managing classroom activities
- Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning
- Provide guidance and support to students with special needs or individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere
- Monitor student safety and manage daily routines under teacher supervision
