Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments, crafting personalized treatment agendas
• Implement physical therapy treatments aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality
• Work in tandem with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to maximize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic objectives, discharge planning, and follow-up home exercises
• Maintain meticulous documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress in accordance with necessary guidelines
• Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions and care rounds to ensure seamless, coordinated care

Education

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification is preferred
• Additional specialized certifications (i.e. neurological, geriatric) are a bonus, though not mandatory

Skills

• Relevant previous experience is highly preferred
• Aptitude for treating patients with intricate medical conditions and mobility challenges
• Excellent communication and teamwork ability
• Familiarity with digital documentation and electronic health record systems
