Director of Retail Sales

What You Will Do • Lead U.S. retail business development efforts to secure new partnerships with mass-market retailers, national chains, specialty retailers, and key regional accounts (e.g., Target, Walmart, CVS, Kroger, buybuy BABY, etc.). • Develop and execute a multi-year channel expansion strategy aligned with Grownsy’s U.S. growth goals and P&L targets. • Build and manage long-term relationships with retail buyers, category managers, and key executive decision-makers. • Lead full-cycle negotiations for retail agreements, including pricing, trade terms, marketing commitments, and supply chain coordination. • Partner closely with internal teams (marketing, product, e-commerce, operations, and supply chain) to support successful product launches and ongoing channel performance. • Monitor channel performance, forecast sales, and proactively identify opportunities to drive sell-through and optimize retail partnerships. • Stay current on retail industry trends, retailer initiatives, and competitive dynamics to inform business strategy. • Provide regular business updates, sales reporting, and strategic recommendations to company leadership. Who You Are • 8+ years of progressive experience in retail sales, national accounts, business development, or channel management, preferably within CPG, consumer electronics, or juvenile/baby products. • Proven success in securing and growing national retail partnerships with U.S. mass retailers such as Target, Walmart, or comparable national chains is required. • A strong existing network and established relationships with retail buyers and category managers are highly preferred. • Experienced in both new business development (a \"hunter\" mindset) and ongoing strategic account management (a \"farmer\" mindset). • Strong analytical and financial acumen related to sales forecasting, P&L management, margin analysis, and retail sales performance. • Highly collaborative and comfortable working across global, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently, build from scratch, and thrive in a dynamic company.
