Salary: $175,000 annually

Position Overview

• Reliance One, Inc. is partnering with a global manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to oversee tax-related activities across its Americas operations.
• The Senior Tax Manager will play an important role in managing tax compliance, financial reporting, and strategic tax initiatives within a complex, multinational environment. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical tax knowledge, business acumen, and leadership experience, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple business functions and geographic locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee regional tax compliance activities, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to applicable federal, state, local, and international tax requirements.
• Manage tax provisions, including current and deferred tax calculations, in support of quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Coordinate the preparation, review, and filing of corporate income tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax efficiency, manage risk, and support broader financial objectives.
• Provide tax guidance on business transactions, organizational changes, and strategic initiatives.
• Serve as a key resource during tax examinations, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and operational leadership to address tax implications affecting the business.
• Evaluate and enhance existing tax processes, controls, and reporting procedures.
• Lead and mentor tax professionals while promoting accountability, professional development, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive corporate tax experience, ideally within a multinational manufacturing or industrial organization.
• Strong understanding of U.S. corporate taxation, tax accounting, and multijurisdictional compliance.
• Experience with ASC 740, income tax provisions, and deferred tax accounting.
• Working knowledge of indirect taxation, including sales, use, and property taxes.
• Exposure to international tax matters and cross-border business operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, competing deadlines, and multiple stakeholders.
• Previous experience leading, mentoring, or developing tax professionals.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• CPA or advanced tax-related degree preferred.
