Payroll Accounting Technician

Job Description

Johnson Service Group is looking for an Accounting Technician for one of our clients in San Jose to assist in payroll. This person will be responsible for reviewing timesheets, processing payroll transactions, and ensuring accuracy in systems such as Infor Payroll. Supports payroll operations by handling deductions, preparing ACH files, responding to staff inquiries, and maintaining organized records.

Responsibilities:

• Review timesheets and adjustments for each pay period
• Enter transactions and correct errors in Infor Payroll
• Process garnishments, stipends, and union dues
• Assist with ACH file formatting using Infor MHC
• Respond to payroll inquiries from staff
• File and archive payroll documentation

Qualifications:

• Excel proficiency
• Computer proficiency
• Dedicated, persistent, and detail-oriented
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Willingness to learn

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by 12 semester units in accounting, business administration, or a related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in accounting recordkeeping, such as accounts payable, payroll, or general ledger support.
• Valid California Driver's License

6 month contract $35.78
