About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to serve as the senior physician leader, driving the advancement and transformation of clinical strategy across its diverse businesses. The CMO will be responsible for clinical strategy and messaging, market clinical leadership, provider partnerships, government affairs, and clinical operations oversight. This role demands an innovative physician executive with deep expertise in pharmacy, PBMs, specialty, disease management, technology, AI, external and government affairs, and patient-centered care. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of influencing business strategies, and will be expected to build strong relationships both internally and externally. Candidates for the CMO position at the company must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, with an MBA and/or relevant business experience preferred. A minimum of 15 years of clinical and clinical leadership experience is required, ideally with a background in specialty pharmacy, pharmacy benefits management, managed care, hospital, retail, or industry setting. The role also requires a proven track record of influencing business strategies, driving clinical innovation, and fostering collaboration in a complex, matrixed environment. The CMO will be expected to guide the design and delivery of clinical solutions, ensure clinical integrity in technological advancements, and lead the enterprise in clinical transformation efforts. Strong leadership, communication, and persuasion skills are essential, as is the ability to balance clinical excellence with business objectives and market opportunities.
