Relocation assistance available for campuses across the U.S. About the Role Alpha uses AI‑adaptive applications so students work independently. Your role involves facilitating 20‑minute small‑group workshops, motivation sessions, data analysis and instructional adjustments based on real‑time app data. You will work in person full‑time at one Alpha campus. Responsibilities Creating small‑group K‑2 reading workshops based on real‑time adaptive‑app data, using structured‑literacy approaches. Leading daily motivation sessions to drive 100% of students toward their weekly app goals through Alpha’s motivational system. Analyzing AI‑generated student performance data to modify instruction during the school day. Conducting running records, fluency assessments and decoding evaluations to generate measurable progress. Serving as the engaging, high‑energy adult that K‑2 students are excited to work with each day. What You Won’t Be Doing Implementing a published reading curriculum, scripted lesson sequence, or district pacing calendar; you build lessons directly from student data. Delivering whole‑class lectures; all instruction occurs in small, targeted groups while students engage with adaptive apps. Serving as a reading coach or consultant to other educators; you work directly with children in the classroom every day. Managing a traditional classroom schedule with subject‑by‑subject lectures, homework correction or test preparation. Preparing IEPs, 504 plans or formal diagnostic evaluations; student progress is captured in app data and running records. Instructional Coordinator Key Responsibilities Generate measurable reading growth in K‑2 students across phonics, fluency and comprehension within a campus culture where performance is assessed weekly. Basic Requirements Structured‑literacy certification (Orton‑Gillingham, LETRS, Wilson, IMSE, CERI, Neuhaus, UFLI, or equivalent) OR a Master’s degree in reading instruction. Bachelor’s degree in any field, plus 2+ years of full‑time K‑2 structured reading instruction in a school or clinical environment within the past five years. Proven capacity to design original reading lessons and clearly explain instructional methods and content independently of a published program. Availability to work in person full‑time at one Alpha campus (multiple locations listed above). Willingness to instruct all K‑2 students and incorporate AI and adaptive‑learning technologies into daily teaching. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without need for visa sponsorship. Nice‑to‑have Requirements Direct experience with AI‑driven or adaptive reading platforms (e.g., Amira, Lexia, i‑Ready, Reading Plus). Documented reading outcomes with specific figures (fluency gains, accuracy increases, decoding level progression). Familiarity with diagnostic reading tools (DRA, DIBELS, AIMSweb). Prior work in high‑accountability educational settings (independent schools, high‑performing charter networks, premium tutoring services). Experience in performance, youth sports coaching or engaging K‑2 audiences outside reading instruction.
