Role Description The Personal Training Director at PUSH Fitness Club is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This position oversees all personal training and small group training services, including managing training staff, scheduling sessions, and ensuring high-quality coaching standards. Responsibilities include designing and refining training programs, mentoring trainers, monitoring client progress, and maintaining safety and compliance with club policies. The Personal Training Director collaborates with club leadership to drive member engagement, support sales initiatives, and contribute to retention through exceptional service. Daily tasks also involve providing hands-on training when needed, conducting performance reviews, organizing staff development, and responding to member feedback in a professional and timely manner. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong expertise in Personal Training and Group Training, with the ability to design and deliver effective, safe programs for diverse fitness levels. Candidates should possess practical Training experience, including coaching individuals and groups, assessing fitness levels, and tailoring programs to client goals. Candidates should possess credentials from recognized organizations such as the U.S. National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) or equivalent nationally accredited certifications. Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a client-focused approach to problem-solving. Additional beneficial qualifications include prior leadership or management experience in a fitness setting, knowledge of exercise science and program design, and familiarity with fitness club operations and scheduling systems.
