Associate Attorney - Tort Matters

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with experience in handling Tort matters to join its Las Vegas, Nevada office. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience, maintain positive client contact, observe confidentiality, and be a team-oriented individual. Duties Provide initial analysis and develop case strategy. Prepare and respond to discovery. Take and defend depositions, draft motions, and attend hearings. Explain legal options to clients and highlight possible outcomes or threats. Build and maintain relationships with clients. Negotiate, research, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Requirements Juris Doctor degree from an ABA‑accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in Nevada. At least 3 years of relevant legal experience. Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills. Sense of urgency in meeting deadlines; able to meet billable hour goals. Excellent communicator, negotiator, public speaker, and problem solver. Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, detail‑oriented, organized, and effective. Professional demeanor and ability to communicate well with staff. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience with iManage and/or OneDrive is a plus. Education & Certifications BA/BS or equivalent undergraduate degree (required). Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA‑accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in Nevada.
