VP, Multi-Asset Technical Pre-Sales

An opportunity is available for a client-facing investment technology professional to work at the intersection of investment analytics, risk management, and commercial solutions. This individual will partner closely with sales teams and institutional investors to demonstrate how portfolio analytics and investment technology can address complex investment and risk-management needs.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will serve as a technical and investment subject-matter expert throughout the sales process. Working with institutional clients—including asset managers, asset owners, hedge funds, and banks—the individual will help assess client requirements, deliver product demonstrations, coordinate trials and proof-of-concepts, and support new business development as well as expansion of existing relationships. This is an individual contributor role supporting a broad, multi-asset analytics offering.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with sales teams to engage institutional investors and understand their investment, portfolio, and risk-management needs.
• Conduct tailored product demonstrations, presentations, trials, and proof-of-concepts for investment and risk professionals.
• Explain portfolio analytics, portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment-risk concepts in a clear, practical manner.
• Translate client requirements and investment workflows into relevant technology and analytics solutions.
• Support sales opportunities from initial discovery through technical evaluation and implementation discussions.
• Build relationships with portfolio managers, risk professionals, quantitative teams, and other institutional stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal sales, product, research, consulting, and technology teams to support client engagements.
• Share client feedback and market insights to help inform product development and commercial strategy.
• Support opportunities to expand the use of analytics solutions within existing client relationships.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of multi-asset investing, portfolio analytics, portfolio construction, asset allocation, and/or investment risk.
• Experience with institutional investment analytics, portfolio management, or risk technology platforms.
• Prior experience in technical pre-sales, solutions consulting, product specialization, investment consulting, or a comparable client-facing investment role.
• Demonstrated ability to personally lead product demonstrations, technical presentations, client trials, or proof-of-concepts.
• Experience working with institutional clients such as asset managers, asset owners, hedge funds, or banks.
• Ability to communicate complex investment and technology concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong presentation, relationship-management, and collaboration skills.
• A commercially minded approach and the ability to partner effectively with sales teams to support new business and client expansion.

Additional Details

Location: New York City, near the World Trade Center. The role follows a hybrid schedule with three days onsite per week. This is an individual contributor opportunity.
