Machinist III- 2nd Shift

Job Title Machinist III – 2nd Shift Location Onsite – Buffalo, NY Overview Moog is a high‑performance design and manufacturing company for aerospace, defense and industrial applications. We are looking for a Lathe Machinist III for 2nd Shift to set up and operate CNC or manual lathes, producing complex parts with tight tolerances for mission‑critical products. Responsibilities Work under minimum supervision and help plan work and solve problems within the cell. Set up and run parts on a CNC lathe with milling capabilities to achieve close tolerances, fine finishes, and complex geometry. Inspect all work performed, set up or adjust gaging equipment, detect unusual conditions and deviant parts. Recognize errors in blueprints and operation sheets. Interpret complex drawings, including GD&T blueprints, sketches and operation sheets. Qualifications High school diploma or GED (preferred). At least 4 years of experience as a CNC machinist, preferably on lathe and mill machines. Demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions. Basic arithmetic skills. Working knowledge of G‑code and Fanuc controls (plus). Knowledge of B‑axis mill turns with main and sub spindle (plus). Ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
