Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist performs complex clerical and accounting assignments and prepares reports and financial documents. Education/Experience High School diploma or equivalent, required. Minimum 1 year of related experience, required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software. Thorough understanding of accounting practices and procedures. Ability to enter data accurately and efficiently into computer software and systems. Basic mathematical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Principal Responsibilities Conduct routine data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable, cash receipts posting and accounts receivable adjustments. Review billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy. Post journal entries to general ledger. Generate summary sheets and reports as directed. Allocate expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures. Assist with various accounting projects as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr
