Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Put patient comfort and safety first during procedures, ensuring to explain each stage clearly and with empathy
• Work in close alignment with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic images
• Manage and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Thoroughly document procedures and maintain patient records within the electronic medical system
• Keep updated on advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related area
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
