Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are essential to our patients' rehabilitation experiences. These include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments through interviews, observations, and evaluations of medical records to identify emotional, social, and environmental factors affecting patients’ recovery.

• Providing individual counseling and support to patients and their families to address adjustment issues, emotional well-being, and coping strategies.

• Collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that integrate psychosocial considerations with clinical goals.

• Assisting patients in accessing vital community resources such as support groups, vocational rehabilitation services, and housing assistance programs.

• Offering education and guidance to families and patients regarding post-rehabilitation services and community resources to ensure successful transitions.

• Participating in discharge planning and helping facilitate a smooth transition for patients returning home post-treatment.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards throughout the practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary patient population at American Counseling Center includes individuals recovering from severe medical events such as strokes, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic surgeries, and various neurological disorders. You will engage with a diverse array of patients facing unique challenges related to their recovery, requiring a deep understanding of both the clinical and psychosocial aspects of their rehabilitation.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Current and valid Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Colorado.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a closely related field is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting.

• Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and psychosocial assessment methods.

Preferred Experience\n

While the basic qualifications for this role are primarily based on required licenses and education, candidates with experience in rehabilitation settings or familiarity with community resources in Arvada, Colorado, will be given preference.
