About the Position

We are seeking a full-time General Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical care in a supportive, collaborative hospital setting. This role includes inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department care , along with participation in a multidisciplinary wound care clinic .

The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in common general surgical procedures , including hernia repair, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, endoscopy, colorectal surgery, and small bowel obstruction management . You will work closely with a highly skilled surgical and perioperative team , delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive, patient-centered environment.

This position offers the opportunity to exercise clinical judgment, advance operative skills, and collaborate with specialists across multiple disciplines.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in General Surgery

• Completion of an accredited General Surgery Residency Program

• Active Vermont medical license

• DEA registration

• CPR certification for healthcare providers

• Demonstrated proficiency in surgical techniques and procedures

• Recent  NPDB Self-Query Report (within 30 days of submission)

• Strong clinical judgment, decision-making, and teamwork skills

• Ability to provide care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings
