The Role You’ll be working with engineers, designers, product managers, and business partners across Thunkable. This role reports to the CTO and works directly with all staff engineers. On your team, you’ll meet teammates of all experience levels and backgrounds, passionate about creating the future of no‑code development. As Engineering Manager, you will lead the development effort on the Thunkable platform, including: Scoping, prioritizing, and leading development projects. Coordinating with team leads to understand and scope product vision. Managing engineering schedules, workloads, and performance. Recruiting, interviewing, and mentoring engineering talent. Working with stakeholders to set realistic expectations. Driving collaboration across teams and ensuring effective communication. Assessing technical risk and establishing best practices. Improving team performance through mentorship and feedback. About You We’re looking for a strong, proven manager with 2+ years of experience managing highly technical teams and running complex projects, as well as a deep passion for software impact. Care deeply about software and its impact, and use past experience to guide the team. Lead by example, get hands‑on with engineers, and take pride in work. Exceptionally technical, able to describe complex ideas simply, and balance roadmap work with firefighting. Hungry to learn about customers and clients. Committed to lifting up careers of team members and mentoring junior engineers. Promoted diversity of thought and background, tying it to successful product launches. Recognize power of leadership and have examples of leading teams in previous roles. Bonus Familiarity in the no‑code PaaS space, mobile app development, and startup fields. Built an app on Thunkable.
