Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant school environment near Decatur, TX. Two immediate openings are available, both full-time, working alongside dedicated educational professionals. Your day will run from 7:15 am to 3:30 pm, bringing consistency and structure to students’ lives during a significant transition period.

Role A offers the chance to work with a caseload of K-2nd grade life skills students—four remarkable learners eager for individualized support and guidance. In Role B, starting this November, you would nurture five high school students in a Life Skills setting, providing expertise through the end of the school year if needed. Candidates with the versatility to work across both positions are strongly encouraged, heightening the impact you can make in the classroom.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification for Texas
• Experience with life skills caseloads, particularly in K-2nd and/or high school settings
• Demonstrated ability to adapt lesson plans for diverse learners
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Capacity for flexibility in a changing environment and willingness to take on multiple assignments if needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Provide direct instruction and support for students with life skills needs
• Collaborate closely with families, administration, and other specialists
• Adapt academic materials and techniques to foster inclusion and growth
• Maintain records and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
