• Must hold active RN license in practicing state.
• 1 year of Pre-Op, PACU, or Surgical experience preferred.
• Current BLS; ACLS often required by facility.
• Strong assessment and IV-start skills.
• Knowledge of surgical prep and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Experience with EMR charting.

• Pre-Procedure:
  • Perform preop assessments and review patient history.
  • Verify consents, allergies, labs, and required tests.
  • Start IVs and administer preoperative medications.

• Coordination & Safety:
  • Coordinate with surgical, anesthesia, and OR teams.
  • Ensure patient safety and readiness for the OR.

• Patient Education:
  • Educate patients about the procedure and postop care.
