In addition, Asbury Solomons is proud to hold EAGLE accreditation from the United Methodist Association of Health & Welfare Ministries.Come join our team that continues the legacy of serving seniors at the only Nationally Accredited Waterfront Community in Southern Maryland!Job DescriptionConceives and creates care plans based on a comprehensive resident assessment that is accomplished through resident and family interviews, physical assessment, observation, and input from the care team.Schedules, within the established time frame, PPS/MDS assessments for residents admitted to the nursing care center.Leads the assessment coordination process to ensure accurate and timely completion of all the nursing sections of the MDS assessments.Compiles data for resident insurance updates for residents admitted with PPO and managed care payer sources.Communicates effectively with the Director of Therapy and Insurance Case Managers to maximize RUG level for reimbursement.Leads the MDS completion process by ensuring accurate and timely completion of all sections by responsible disciplines.Works effectively within the interdisciplinary team to ensure MDS process and coordination of care plans/assessments.Supervises nursing staff as needed and participates in the Nurse Management on-call rotation.QualificationsMust be a Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Maryland.Two years of long-term care experience.RAC-CT preferred but not required.Experience with PointClickCare preferred but not required.Must be able to follow and give accurate written and oral instructions and possess visual acuity to effectively prepare and read reports.Supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, and visitors.Ability to coordinate and organize own work and the work of others to effectively meet multiple job responsibilities and deadlines.Must have proficient computer skills to ensure accurate data entry/Microsoft Office experience preferred.Additional InformationBenefitsDepending upon the status of the position, Asbury offers generous benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401K with match; PTO and paid holidays.We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
