Job Title: Telemetry Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of telemetry experience required; first-time travelers accepted License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, CPI required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with patient ratio of 1:5 Description: This position is for a Telemetry Registered Nurse working nights. We accept 36 or 48-hour schedules. Every other weekend is required. Four weekends during holiday periods are also required. Floating to lower acuity areas is required as needed. The nurse will manage multiple patients with complex diagnoses. The work environment is fast-paced and high volume. A patient ratio may be up to 6 with lower acuity. Applicants must be comfortable with using an electronic medical record system. Key responsibilities include managing and administering medications and treatments. Candidates must have experience with cardiac telemetry and managing various patient conditions. Skills such as IV management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and the care of patients post-cardiac interventions are essential. The position involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care. Orientation for the role will be 24 hours. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling requests and possible floating within the specialty. Compliance with hospital policies regarding time off and credentialing is essential.
