We’re Seeking a Creative & Compassionate Life Enrichment Specialist

We’re seeking a creative, energetic, and compassionate Life Enrichment Specialist to develop and lead meaningful programs and activities for residents living with dementia, early-stage dementia, or mild cognitive impairment.

This role is responsible for creating engaging opportunities that support residents’ cognitive, social, emotional, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with older adults, enjoys creating new experiences, and understands the importance of meeting residents where they are

  What You’ll Do

• Plan and lead engaging programs and activities, including arts and crafts, entertainment, social events, brain games, and other cognitive activities.
• Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly activity calendars.
• Gather information, articles, photos, and resident highlights for the Memory Care newsletter.
• Maintain an organized inventory of activity supplies, books, puzzles, magazines, games, and other materials.
• Introduce residents to appropriate technology and provide guidance on using technology-based programs.
• Train and support care team members in assisting with activities and engagement programs.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance the activity program based on resident interests and needs.
• Develop new and creative opportunities for residents in the Memory Care neighborhood.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in activities, life enrichment, recreation, education, or a related field.
• Experience working with seniors, particularly those living with dementia, preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Adobe products.
• Creative, organized, and able to develop engaging programs for residents.
• Genuine passion for working with older adults and creating meaningful experiences.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 pounds occasionally
• Ability to remain active and responsive throughout the shift
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents and team members
