Details Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting Patient ratio of 1:6 Every other weekend required Floating required Uses Epic charting system Patient care includes telemetry, respiratory, and tracheostomy care/management Skills include cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias Requirements Active IL RN license required in hand Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required, CPI and NIHSS preferred Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required Epic charting system experience Additional Information Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit including monitoring for cardiac dysrhythmias and respiratory/tracheostomy management RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days, with no more than 3 days requested and none during the first or last week of the contract First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate Former staff of University of Chicago Medicine or Ingalls Memorial Hospital must have a 7-month break in employment before returning as a traveler Non-billable orientation modules (2-3 hours) are completed during onboarding These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
