Required Skills & Experience

Financial Accounting & Close\n•\tPerform and review month end, quarter end, and year end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and provisions\n•\tPrepare and review balance sheet and bank reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of variances\n•\tMaintain accurate general ledger records in accordance with Ind AS / local GAAP and company accounting policies\n•\tSupport preparation of financial statements and management reports \nTax & Statutory Compliance\n•\tPrepare and support filing of GST returns (GSTR 1, GSTR 3B, reconciliations, and related compliance)\n•\tSupport TDS, TCS, and Income Tax compliance activities in coordination with tax advisors\n•\tEnsure proper documentation and audit trail for statutory and regulatory submissions\n•\tStay current on changes to Indian tax and accounting regulations \nAudit & Controls\n•\tSupport internal, statutory, and external audits, including preparation of schedules and responses to auditor queries\n•\tExecute and maintain internal controls over financial reporting\n•\tAssist in remediation of audit findings and control observations\n\n\n\nSkills/Qualifications:\n•\tBachelor’s degree in Accounting\n•\t 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in India \n•\tStrong working knowledge of Ind AS, GST, TDS, and Indian statutory requirements \n•\tHands on experience with month end close, reconciliations, and audit support\n•\tProven experience managing month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and audits \n•\tWorking proficiency in English preferred

The Senior Accountant is responsible for executing and overseeing core accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records, timely closings, and compliance with Indian statutory requirements, including GST, Income Tax, and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS). This role plays a key part in month end close, reconciliations, audit support, and continuous improvement of accounting processes, often within a shared services or global delivery model\n\nThis role offers exposure to cross-functional teams and evolving responsibilities as the company grows and evaluates new systems and processes.
