Electronic Technician TraineeThe Electronic Technician Trainee is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of equipment as per operational demands. The Electronic Technician Trainee improves maintenance related nonproductive time ratio of the Product Line's assets within the Maintenance Base (MB), and improves maintenance efficiency and people productivity.Key Responsibilities:Perform maintenance, testing, and repair of electronic and electromechanical equipment (e.g., rotary control units)Use diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, calipers) to troubleshoot issuesAssemble and build components such as bearing packsConduct testing (including flow loop testing) and basic programming tasksSupport failure investigations and continuous improvement initiativesWork within assigned workstation areas and rotate tasks periodicallyMaintain production targets and support equipment turnaround efficiencyExperience & SkillsRequired:Minimum: 2 years relevant experience, or equivalent education (2-year technical degree in electronics technology) / military maintenance backgroundAbility to use: multimeters, basic hand tools, oscilloscopes and measuring devicesStrong computer skills and ability to navigate business systemsBasic understanding of electronics and some mechanical aptitudePreferred:Experience with rotary steerable or similar oilfield equipment (for higher pay range)Soldering experience (ISO certifications a plus but not required)Work EnvironmentIndustrial shop/maintenance base environment (exposure to oil, grease, mud, and field-returned equipment) o Not a lab or clean room Requires wearing coveralls and appropriate PPEShift / Hours1st Shift: ~7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Weekend rotation and extended hours requiredNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
