Job Description Job Description FRONT DESK OFFICE RECEPTIONIST/BOOKEEPER NEEDED FOR MID SIZECPA OFFICE Growing fast paced CPA office is looking for an enthusiastic, optimistic, high energy individual to join our team and work the front desk in our office.. Hours needed are typically 40 during the regular plus overtime during income tax season (Jan-April) and may be reduced hours the remainder of the year. We are a team of CPA’s, accountants and office staff that work together closely to ensure our clients get the best service possible. This position will have a lot of client interface so the ideal candidate should be very comfortable with that aspect and should be able to present themselves and communicate in a businesslike manner. This position is the foundation for keeping the fast paced tax season organized and a success for our office. Duties include (but not limited to): Answering phones, key assistant to CPA and other tax/accounting professionals, scheduling appointments, handling daily client email and phone requests, scanning client data to database, maintaining client databases, preparing outgoing mail, assembling tax returns and outgoing tax returns, data entry into time and billing software, receiving and recording client payments, printing data to and from firms secure document portal, making copies, light office cleanup, short errands, Desired Skills and Experience Able to commit to at least a one year position Basic knowledge of general accounting and income taxes (one accounting class or some accounting/tax experience is a strong plus) Great customer service and excellent multi-tasking skills required, 1 year experience Detail oriented and Strong Accuracy is required Ability to work in a fast paced environment is required Ability to follow detailed instructions Good data entry skills required Word/Excel/google calendar/google sheets experience preferred Businesslike mannerism is required (business casual dress, ability to correspond and interact in a business manner) Own vehicle is required for errands Self-starter Outside the box thinker Ability to take initiative Ability to work under little supervision and under pressure Competitive employment package Company Description Southwest Florida progressive CPA firm doing tax, accounting and Financial planning.
