As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers.Job Summary:The Human Resource Manager provides on-site support of the Human Resource functions, including recruitment, retention, and employee relations for manufacturing associates of the Company.Essential Functions:* Recruits qualified applicants, conducts initial interviews, schedules department interviews, and pre-employment testing completes background checks, and finalizes new hire paperwork, all following company policies and procedures while ensuring legal compliance.* Partners with management to resolve employee relations issues and conduct investigations.* Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continuous improvement.* Experience in the use of software and HRIS platforms.* Act as a resource for associate questions (handbook, benefits, etc.)* Assists management in monitoring labor, attendance, absenteeism, and turnover.* Work with plant management to manage, monitor, and control plant-wide safety.* Assist with planning and execution of special events as needed* Perform other duties as needed or as directed by management.Safety:* Safely perform all duties following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.* Report all job-related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.* Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.* Ear protection in high-noise areas.## QualificationsQualifications:* A high school diploma is required. An associate's degree, a bachelor's Degree, or an HR certification is preferred.* 2+ years of Human Resources experience required.* Experience in a manufacturing environment.* Attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to collaborate with others.* Must be reliable and able to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.* Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.* Proficient computer skills.* Excellent organizational and communication skills.Requirements:* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.* Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.* Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.* Bilingual in Spanish or Hmong preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr Valdese Weavers
