Job Description
Duties
- Formulate and implement administrative policies.
- Advise the Special Agent-in-Charge and leadership on organizational structure, culture, and methods.
- Conduct research to improve field office efficiency.
- Establish clear, measurable performance metrics and expectations aligned with organizational strategic objectives.
- Identify developmental and training needs of personnel and actively facilitates upward mobility and professional growth.
- Perform regular audits of the Table of Distribution (TDA) to identify discrepancies and coordinate military-to-civilian requirements seamlessly.
- Negotiate with DA and HQ manpower specialists to secure necessary authorized spaces and defend the office's structural layout.
- Coordinate with DACID Information Systems managers to prioritize, budget, and deploy critical technological infrastructure.
- Identify cost-benefit opportunities in supply chains, implementing automated tracking or labor-saving strategies to reduce operational overhead.
Requirements Conditions of employment
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position may require Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) up to 15% of the time.
- This is a testing designated position. You will be required to sign a DA Form 5019-R.
- You will be required to pass a pre-employment urinalysis exam, and periodically during employment.
- This position is designated as Top Secret. You must obtain an interim security clearance prior to employment, and maintain a fully adjudicated clearance during employment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing administrative management for a law-enforcement or operational field office, including managing and implementing administrative policies and procedures; supervising civilian, military, and/or contracted staff; conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses to improve organizational effectiveness; coordinating manpower and staffing programs such as TDA reviews and position management; overseeing IT services supporting telecommunications, networks, and information systems; managing procurement, logistics, and property functions in compliance with federal regulations; and maintaining investigative, evidentiary, and administrative records systems to ensure proper security, storage, accountability, and accessibility. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional information
