Mechanical/Electrical Physical Designer

KCI Engineering Consultants is seeking full-time Mechanical & Electrical Physical/Wiring Designer, to perform technical work in support of Nuclear Power Plant projects. Duties Produce mechanical, electrical wiring and physical drawings, and review and incorporate vendor drawings into the overall project design including: AC and DC schematic diagrams Cable tray and exposed conduit layouts Conduct and junction box support design Conduit routing Electrical equipment locating/mounting Grounding Layout Mechanical Systems Point to point wiring diagrams Relay and metering diagrams Underground duct bank and embedded conduit drawings Requirements Extensive AutoCAD design experience on power plant projects Capable to perform reviews of mechanical & electrical physical layout drawings involving equipment outlines and interface points Experience and knowledge with nuclear power plant components and systems Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Experience - at least 5 years’ professional industry experience (position based upon experience) Optimal Qualifications Advanced technical degree or related coursework 3D CAD experience To perform the job successfully, the candidate should demonstrate competencies in the following essential functions: Excellent oral and written communication skills Follow through with all tasks and assignments in a timely manner Proven strong analytical skills including the ability to solve problems Team player mentality with a desire to contribute to the overall success of a project Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including 401-K matching & paid employee health insurance Compensation: Competitive pay, potential for Bonus, Company paid employee health insurance, 50% discount for spouse and family health care, Vision, Company matched 401-K (KCI matches 2.5%), Time-Off (Vacation, holidays, parental, etc.) and others.
