Staffing Coordinator

Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to support nursing administration operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This non-clinical role is responsible for coordinating staffing and scheduling across multiple nursing units within a regional hospital system. The role involves working closely with union guidelines and ensuring appropriate staffing coverage based on operational needs.

This is an on-site position located in Olympia, WA.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate daily staffing and scheduling for nursing units in alignment with staffing needs and union contracts
Manage staffing coverage across multiple shifts and adjust schedules as needed
Collaborate with nursing leadership and internal teams to ensure adequate coverage
Monitor staffing requests, absences, and shift changes in a timely manner
Maintain accurate scheduling records using workforce management systems
Communicate effectively with staff regarding schedule updates and changes
Support administrative staffing operations in a high-volume environment

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience in staffing and/or scheduling coordination (healthcare preferred)
High School Diploma or GED required
Strong experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word)
Familiarity with workforce management systems such as UKG/Kronos preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong organizational and communication skills

Schedule & Work Conditions:

Primarily 10-hour day shifts
Occasional requirement to work nights or 12-hour shifts based on staffing needs
Weekend coverage required (minimal but mandatory)
Must be flexible with scheduling requirements

Additional Information:

On-site role only
Local candidates preferred
Candidates previously employed within the organization must have a minimum 3-month separation period before eligibility for rehire
