This is a great opportunity for experienced machinists looking to maximize earnings with consistent overtime and a strong daily per diem.If you're skilled in CNC lathe setup, enjoy hands-on problem solving, and want to work in a clean, organized shop environment—this role offers both stability and earning potential.What You'll DoSet up and operate CNC lathes with live toolingSelect tooling, establish offsets, and load programs across various machinesRead and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirementsOperate Fanuc and Siemens controlsMake program edits to improve quality and efficiencyRun production parts and monitor machine performancePerform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gaugesTroubleshoot issues such as tool wear and dimensional discrepanciesMaintain accurate production and inspection documentationWhat We're Looking ForStrong CNC lathe setup experienceAbility to read and interpret blueprints and GD&TExperience with Fanuc and/or Siemens controlsSolid understanding of machining processes and quality standardsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently in a production environmentSchedule Options2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AMIf you're a driven CNC machinist looking to earn strong money with overtime and per diem, this is a great opportunity to jump into a solid project.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr.
