What You’ll Do

• Provide general surgery and trauma call coverage at a Level 3 hospital
• Manage inpatient adult patients, including trauma cases and emergency surgical needs
• Collaborate with hospital, OR, and ER support teams
• Conduct hospital rounds and consults, as needed
• Cover weekend call responsibilities from 7:00 a.m. Saturday to 7:00 a.m. Sunday
• Support hospital’s surgical needs during coverage days

What You Need

• Active WV or IMLC license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Prior trauma or surgical call experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

About the Assignment

This engagement involves providing essential surgical coverage at a Level 3 hospital in Beckley, WV, primarily during weekend on-call shifts. The facility is equipped to support adult inpatient care with available hospital, OR, and ER support staff. Credentialing is quick, typically 2–7 days for IMLC, and temporary privileges are available to ensure prompt start.
