Qualifications:

• Valid certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
• Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, particularly at the elementary level
• Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support tailored to students with diverse learning needs in a resource setting
• Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to create effective learning plans
• Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet students’ unique strengths and challenges
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress to all stakeholders
• Create a positive, safe classroom culture that encourages student engagement and independence
