Application Architect III

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking an Application Architect III to join their team. As an Application Architect III, you will be part of the Technology Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Design, develop, test, and support application migrations from existing platforms to strategic, future-state platforms.
• Collaborate with multiple technology teams to ensure seamless transition and integration of applications and business processes.
• Participate in large-scale transformation projects, utilizing modern technologies and best practices.
• Influence architecture decisions and platform adoption across the organization.
• Support performance tuning, debugging, and optimization of enterprise applications.

What's Needed?

• 10+ years of Java application development experience, including core Java 11+ and modern frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.
• Strong understanding of database design, SQL, query tuning, and optimization.
• Proven ability to profile, optimize memory, and tune large-scale enterprise applications for performance.
• Experience with frontend technologies including HTML5, AngularJS, Backbone.js, and Bootstrap within Agile environments.
• Knowledge of Big Data ecosystems like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and cloud computing architectures.
