Overview Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Patient Financial Advisor who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. Responsibilities Scheduling and coverage authorization of scheduled services Communicate with physicians/clinicians as required Pre-register scheduled services including coverage verifications and authorizations Assist patients in completing AHC charitable applications at the medical centers Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience within a healthcare financial environment (including insurer or public health settings) High School Graduate or equivalent Ability to work independently and in a team environment Maintain a high level of confidentiality Perform well in stressful environments without compromising quality and accuracy Strong customer service skills Participate in an environment that promotes staff development, productivity, satisfaction, and efficiency PC skills in a Windows environment are required; knowledge of Word and Excel helpful Initiate and follow through on projects and work independently Strong written and verbal communication skills Work Schedule Employment Type: Full-time Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week Typical Daily Schedule: Monday - Thursday 9:30 am - 6 pm Friday 8 am - 3:30 pm Shift Type: Day Compensation Pay Range: $19.64 - $25.65 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
