Job Title: Cafeteria Monitor Exemption Status Nonexempt Reports To Principal Dept./School Food Service / As assigned Primary Purpose To assist, monitor and supervise students in the cafeteria during lunch. Qualifications Constructive and cooperative attitude toward the duties of the aide, the school, the staff and the students. Ability to communicate effectively Salary Information Paygrade: H1 Days: 165 Major Responsibilities and Duties Monitor and supervise students in the cafeteria. Help students advance through the serving line and past the cashier. Maintain a lunchroom atmosphere of cheerfulness, cleanliness, orderliness and personal caring. Manage student behavior in the cafeteria and make discipline referrals to campus administration. Assist in clearing and wiping cafeteria tables. Help students exit the cafeteria and return to their classrooms in a safe and orderly manner. Attendance at work is an essential function. Other duties as assigned by the campus principal or designee. Mental Demands / Physical Demands / Environmental Factors Working Conditions: Pushing, walking, standing, specific visual and hearing requirements (monitoring students in cafeteria), constant noise.
