IT Support Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and ambitious IT Support Specialist to join our client's established IT infrastructure team. Location Franklin, Tennessee Job Type Permanent Salary $50,000 - 55,000 per year Work Hours 8am to 5pm Education Associates Responsibilities End-User Support & Helpdesk: Resolve day-to-day helpdesk tickets and technical queries within established SLAs, providing exceptional end-to-end support for internal staff. Hardware & Workstation Management: Lead the setup, configuration, maintenance, and clean-up of workstations, server hardware, and network devices. System Administration & Upgrades: Assist in monitoring, updating, and upgrading computer software, hardware, operating systems, and enterprise applications. Training & Mentorship: Identify technical needs across departments and train end-users on hardware functionality, software best practices, and new systems. Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Track hardware, software, and system performance metrics, performing diagnostic tests to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks. Documentation & Best Practices: Document technical processes, system configurations, and maintenance logs while keeping pace with emerging trends and innovations in IT support. Qualifications 2-4 year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical IT experience. 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in IT Support, Helpdesk, or Systems Administration. Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows 11 and Windows Server. Hands-on administration experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory, SharePoint, and Azure. Working knowledge of virtualization platforms such as Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Citrix, or AWS. Basic knowledge of database maintenance (Microsoft SQL), system security protocols, and enterprise backup/Disaster Recovery platforms. Demonstrated experience monitoring system performance metrics and writing clear technical documentation.
