Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- National MA Certification Required
- One year of medical assistant experience
- BLS Certification

Roles & Responsibilities
- Support eye care services to patients of all ages as an Optometry Assistant.
- Room and screen patients for providers, performing optical and point of care lab testing.
- Assist patients with optical orders, including verification of benefits, frame selection, measurements, order entry, payment collection, and order verification.
- Acquire ocular imaging and enter images into medical records for provider review.
- Assist with scheduling and triaging referred or recalled patients, along with managing phone inquiries.
- Collaborate with care coordinators and other healthcare staff to facilitate patient referrals.

Compliance / Notes
- Flu vaccine required
- Housing and transportation assistance must be researched and prepared for travelers.
- Start date is contingent upon receipt of fingerprint cards for processing.
